ANCORP celebrated National Manufacturing Day today by hosting Bronson High School and Williston Middle High School for a complete tour of our facilities.
In the first half of the tours, students were shown a fun demonstration of the science behind vacuum. A balloon, followed by marshmallows, were placed inside of a vacuum bell jar and students were able to see how vacuum affected the different objects.
The second half of the tours featured a full walk-thru of our facilities. Students were able to see the full process behind our manufacturing, including:
- Engineering
- Materials
- Sawing
- Custom-manufacturing
- Grinding
- Sanding and deburring
- Polishing
- Welding
- Leak-testing
- Cleaning
- Laser Engraving
- Assembly
- Shipping
National Manufacturing Day, created by The Founding Partner Fabricators and Manufacturers Association and hosted yearly by The National Association of Manufacturers, has allowed companies to share insight into their manufacturing processes since its inception in 2012. The national celebration has grown every single year, and seeks to positively change the public perception of modern manufacturing in people all throughout the country.
Thank you to both schools for visiting us! We hope that we will see you again on National Manufacturing Day next year! Go Eagles and Go Red Devils!
